Maintenance Manager
Typical job description:
Maintenance Managers are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of fixed and rotational equipment under their span of control. They are also responsible for ensuring that all systems of work are carried out safely in accordance with regulatory and company policies and procedures. In addition they are responsible for ensuring that all replacement components are available and that all personnel under their management are competent. Maintenance Plant Managers must also operate within a cost effective environment.

- An understanding of the maintenance of plant and equipment involved in the production of chemical products.
- An understanding and knowledge of all regulatory requirements with regard to the maintenance of chemical products.
- A knowledge of budgetary requirements including capital project and revenue project procurement procedures.
- A knowledge and understanding of the impact of failure of key systems and processes including loss of containment and threat to the environment.
